As I sit and read the people’s post and comments about the riots throughout the United States, the story has evolved into “Police versus Civilians” and “Whites versus Colors”. I couldn't help but realized that the root cause of all these is our sins. It’s either the person who is in authority position have sin or it’s the person who refused to comply with the law. When I’m reading the debates between two or more people with different perspectives, it can get really personal. I truly understand that we can get caught up in the middle of the story and become very passionate about our own opinions. However, if we only rely on our emotions and allow it to drive us, we become reactive to the situation. Consequently, it will blind us from seeing the facts. In other words, it wouldn't matter about the facts and details because of our logic thinking are fogged up due to our emotions taking over. Our eyes and ears are selective and we can only see and hear what we wanted. Honestly, if no one agrees with our perspectives and they challenge our views, we tend to take it personal and get defensive. Unfortunately, some can get so aggressive to a point of insulting the person’s intelligence. Perhaps maybe I am wrong on all these accounts and it's probably our pride that's being bruised.
In conclusion, we all need a savior and we all need Jesus in our lives. Jesus is the Light and He should be our biggest influence and not this dark lost world. As you can see, Light is Love and Hate is from Darkness. Light always overcome darkness; likewise, Love always overcome Hates. Jesus taught us to love one another, connect with one another, encourage one another, serve one another, comfort one another, restore one another, forgive one another, and unify one another.
